Melody Pearson

Melody is the Director of the Biblical Counseling Group.  Her passion is to help people find freedom through Biblical answers for their life issues. She does the majority of counseling in the areas of sexual abuse, singles, and divorce.  Melody attended Fuller Seminary and completed & earned a Masters Degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She is a certified member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.  She has 2 grown children and a grandson.  She serves the Lord as the Director of Worship, Staff member and
the assistant to the Pastor at Spirit of Life Church in Sugar Land.

Chad M. Miller

Chad does the majority of the male counseling.  Today we find men are experiencing huge identity crises and hurtful pasts causing depression, sex, alcohol, drug addictions and anger issues.  Men need men to talk to.  Chad has 2 bachelor degrees in the areas of the Sciences and a Seminary Master of Divinity Degree.  He has been a Pastor for 25 years and is the founding Pastor of Spirit of Life church in Sugar Land Texas.  He has been married for 32 years and has 5 children. 

Carol Evans

Carol has a love for people and a gift of caring.  Her passion is to help her clients find healing from the stresses and hurts of life.  One of Carol’s strengths is marriage counseling.  She strongly believes in the institution of marriage and knows how difficult it is to have a healthy marriage in today’s world. Carol is a certified member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has been married for 35 years and has 2 children and one grandson.  She serves the Lord as the Director of Prayer, member of the Praise
Team and on Staff at Spirit of Life Church in Sugar Land.

Kathy Baker

Kathy’s specialty is in women and teen counseling.  Kathy understands the heart and difficulties women face today. She has a strong gift of teaching that enables her to help a person apply God’s biblical principals when dealing with life issues and hurts. Kathy is a certified member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has been in the Christian Education field for 15 years and has been married for 21 years and has 3 sons. She serves the Lord as the Worship Leader at Spirit of Life Church in Sugar Land.

Laura Wright

Laura’s focus is primarily with women that have hurts and abuse in their past, but also counsels families who have children with ADD / ADHD and Asperger’s. Laura has a strong gift of prayer and incorporates this gift within her counseling. She is certified with the American Association of Christian Counselors. Laura serves as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Spirit of Life church. She has been married for 17 years and has 3 children.

Connie Aufdembrink

Connie has had a distinguished teaching career working with High School students. For the last 18 years she has directed the Speech and Debate Program at Lamar High School in Rosenberg which was nationally ranked for 15 years in a row. She is continuing to pursue her passion for helping teens and their families as a counselor. Connie has a Bachelor in Education and is certified with the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has been married for 40 years and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

Rebecca Akers

Rebecca has a passion to help people recover from their hurts and find healing for new beginnings. She is trained in the 12 Step Programs and sponsors people struggling with addiction. Rebecca is also gifted in the ministry of Healing Prayer and a member of the International Association for Theophostic Ministry. She is a Theophostic Prayer Facilitator and a certified counselor of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Rebecca is married and has 2 daughters in college.
